I grew up in West Seattle and moved to Issaquah during 8th grade, making me a proud graduate of Issaquah High School. I received my B.A. in English Literature and teaching certificate from Western Washington University. The Woodring College of Education teaching program was rigorous and diverse, which led me to seek a unique experience for my student teaching internship. I decided to take an educational adventure to Costa Rica, where I taught in a public school to 10th grade English Literature students.
I now find myself back in the Issaquah School district, learning and growing as an educator at Skyline High School. This is my seventh year teaching at Skyline.
While my main passion in life is education, I do have a few hobbies on the side. I am an avid reader, dancer, writer, gardener, theatre connoisseur, animal snuggler, and pumpkin lover (pumpkin pie is my favorite!).
I look forward to working with my students this year as we develop our critical thinking, analysis, evaluation, and writing skills. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
